The Pixie Bob is a loyal feline friend, brilliant and sweet by nature, and makes a great companion. There are speculations that this cat breed is an offspring of a bobcat and a domestic shorthair. However, the DNA testing shows that they are entirely amiable cat breed with all characteristics of a domestic cat. The cat’s personality may have been conditioned with a wild passion, but this cat is a mellow sweetheart from the inside.
Pixie Bobs are a large cat breed with a sturdy structure and look a lot like a bobcat. Overall they are a beautiful cat breed with a playful disposition. They are found in both long and short hair with a thick double coat that is coarse to touch. You may find a Pixie Bob in different colors such as orange, light gray, fawn, or black with patterns in them. They have a medium to large head with a broad muzzle and wide nose.
They have a medium-sized deep set of eyes of gold, green, or brown in color. Ong legs with the hind legs a bit longer in size. They have large and fleshy toes with a short tails that are usually curled up. Another trait is that the Pixie Bob is a polydactyl, usually with five toes per front foot and four at the back.
This cat breed enjoys laid back life and loves spending time with their family. They have incredible talent to bond up with anyone in the family, especially with their favorite human. You won’t find this cat making much noise or initiating a conversion unless required. However, they will definitely communicate by occasional chirrups or head butts to explain their viewpoint about you or anything. They are very much affectionate towards their human family and even enjoy leashed walks in the evening or morning.
